Historical Information on Bra and Pants
In 1900 Henry Williamson Gossard H W Gossard Company in Chicago in 1901 to produce corsets.

1901 John Wesley Hanes began manufactururing gents socks.
In 1914 a New York debutante named Mary Phelps Jacobs
invented and patented the brassiere.
The Brassiere was sold under the name Caresse Crosby. Sales
in the beginning were slow and Mary sold the patent for $1500 to Warner Brothers
Corset Company in Bridgeport, Connecticut.
In 1919 Berlei Limited became the new name for Unique Corsets Limited started by
Fred Burley
Sara Stein was working in a bra factory in 1927 when she thought she could make
a better bra.

The material, nylon was developed in 1938
The International Latex Company introduced the Playtex Living girdle in 1947,

!960's was the decade the panyhose was pioneered by the Hanes Corporation.
